2020' Defender -ANNA V Heading to the Spartans!
by posted 11/11/2019

Anna V Mazariegos –(2020’ Defender) has recently announced that she has committed to play D2 lacrosse at St.Thomas Aquinas College in the fall. Anna V turned heads on the summer recruit circuit with her ability to play fast and create transition opportunities. This hard-nosed cover girl is rock solid across the board, showing a high compete level and rarely getting beat by her opposition. She plays excellent position, seldom allowing opponents to get past her while frequently checking the ball loose using her physicality and strong lower body to prohibit them from getting around her. Her intimidating presence has caused a bunch of attackers to not even try dodging her, as it would likely result in a turnover. Anna V is the 11th Cobra on the current team to be recruited and will take her talents to a college program to play lacrosse at the next level. Watch out for Anna V to bring her “battle tested” Cobra Kai game to the Spartans this Fall.

The Nationally ranked 2020' team has finished the run with a 84.6 percent college team placement and will sign their scholarship papers this Wednesday on National signing day.

Nardi heading to South -Commits to Delaware State!
by posted 10/31/2019

Rossella Nardi (20’ ATTACK) has recently committed to Delaware State University. Rossella entered the Cobra Kai travel lacrosse world as a rising senior and 15 minutes into game 1 at Summer Genesis the phones started ringing on the sideline…who is this Nardi kid? The Section 9 (Kingston) standout was certainly overwhelmed by the attention playing on the 2020' nationally ranked team but focused herself immediately and worked the process in a tireless fashion to find a team that could make a roster spot for her. Nardi’s motor and tenacity are the attributes that first come to mind when describing her skill set, as she’s relentless and disruptive. She’s plays with an incredible edge all over the field, her feet never stop moving. Rossella is dynamic and athletic, dodging the alleys with tremendous confidence and shoots the corners with next level ability. Nardi is an excitable playmaker, blessed with soft hands and quick wrists which allows her to get the ball out in the blink of an eye. Rossella is the 10th Cobra on the current team to be recruited and will take her talents to a D-1 college program to play lacrosse at the next level. Coach Pam Jenkins , a White Plains native who played her High school career at Rye Country day school is getting a Great one! Watch out for Nardi to bring those “Happy Feet” and her Cobra Kai game to the Hornets next season.

Great Job Cobra!!!

No Stopping Cobra Kai - Shelling commits to Delaware!
by posted 09/10/2019

Junior Samantha Shelling (21’) has committed to the University of Delaware. Samantha is a pure competitor who has both toughness and burst. She’s a physical dodger with a deceptive first step which makes “Shells” a tough cover with a killer instinct on game day. Shelling has the “Winners mentality” closing in on 400 career wins under Coaches Drab and Iodice, making her a priority target of many D1 programs. Samantha’s ability to make her teammates around her better sets her apart as she’s the consummate quarterback and the girl you want to give the ball to at the end of the game. This is the 2nd player taken from the Cobra Kai 2021’team recruited to a D-1 college program to play lacrosse at the next level. Shelling will No-Doubt bring her “Battle tested” game to the Blue Hens when she arrives on campus in the Fall of 2021’

2021' Goldstien goes IVY - UPenn bound!
by posted 09/09/2019

Junior Sydney Goldstein (21’) has recently announced that she has committed to The University of Pennsylvania. Sydney is the 4th “Drab Product” taken by Coach Karin Corbett and the UPenn women’s lacrosse program. Don’t let her size and cute smile fool you, “Syd the Kid” is a feisty and aggressive player with the heart of a lion, completely unafraid of any opponent. Goldstein is a fully committed member of the Cobra Kai –Team 21’while juggling a 3 sport athlete’s schedule. Her great field vision and Non-Stop pursuit of the ball makes her almost impossible to beat! Always in top physical shape, Goldstein excels in the “2 man game”, with non-stop picks, rolls and explosive dodges which gets her to the cage over and over. The ability to use her body to shield the ball inside the 8 meter is game changing and her talent to get a quality shot off has propelled her to be one of the Tri-States hottest prospects. This is the 1st Cobra on the current 2021’team to be recruited to a D-1 college program to play lacrosse at the next level. She will follow down the pipeline of former “Drab Trained standouts” - Bosco (17’), Rosenzweig (16’) and Cheeseman(16’) to Franklin Field. Her work ethic and her internal drive to succeed will “No Doubt” leave her mark with the Quakers starting in the Fall of 2021’. Coach Corbett got herself another great one!
